Wow, what a year 2016 was!
And what a Christmas singing season for the Stairwell Carollers
-- snow (but not too much), clear starry nights (but not too cold), and warm and wonderful concert audiences (record attendance)!
St. Stephens Church in Chelsea, Quebec has become a favourite venue for us with such an amazing church community. It was a wonderful place to hold our first concert of the season -- welcoming many new singers to the Stairwell fold.
Our 2nd 2016 Christmas carol concert at Trinity United church on Maitland Ave, Ottawa was exciting since we had never sung there before!
Our third Christmas concert was at St Thomas in Stittsville, On and it was so much fun! We love this church and the people. Photos to come.
Our 4th choral concert of the Christmas season was at a brand new venue - St. Mark's the Evangelist on Fisher Ave. in Ottawa. A full house and lots of new faces :)
On to our self-produced concerts -- the first at Knox Presbyterian on Elgin, downtown Ottawa. This has become our new home for our biggest concert of the season. We love the acoustics there!
Last, but definitely not least, our last choir concert at our rehearsal and recording home, St. Columba Anglican church on Sandridge rd Ottawa. Warm sound, warm audience, warm feelings to end our 2016 singing season!
