The Stairwell Carollers are a charitable a cappella Ottawa choir, who sing sacred and secular renaissance music, as well as settings of traditional and contemporary Christmas carols.
Winner of the 2010 OMFA provincial competition,
they went on to place 2nd in all of Canada.
Director,
Pierre Massie, has composed many original pieces for the choir, as well as
creating lively and contemporary arrangements of traditional carols.
To date, The Stairwell
Carollers have raised over $47,000 for local Ottawa/Gatineau charities through
the sale of concert tickets, CDs and cookbooks. They have also awarded $11,000
in Music Scholarships and helped countless non-profit groups raise funds though
their CD consignment program.
