I like the colours and the idea of stained glass window. The nature background is surprising at first glance and adds a surreal look
ReplyDeletebut after all, we are a modern choir singing Renaissance music. Not Bad! :)
Denyse
Hey Denyse
DeleteAs you can see by the comments we are getting mixed responses, but I think we are on the right track.
Holly :)
Hi Holly - I do like the window, but I'm not sure about the forest scene in the background. It seems a bit "busy" and leaves me wondering what the connection to winter is...
ReplyDeleteMartha
The winter connection is a good point Martha -- I'll tell Pete. Thanks :)
DeleteAfter looking at your first choice, this one seems somewhat lacking. The windows seem tilted and may I say, uncomfortable. But perhaps if you want people to stop and question then it works.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your honesty! I'll pass your comment on to Pete. Of course, the first choice is a painting by a renaissance master so it's almost impossible to match in beauty. We thought that it may be too reminiscent of Christmas and wanted this CD to say simply "sacred".
ReplyDeletePerhaps there is merit in getting their attention with something different -- thanks for the comment :)
