Spaséniye sodélal - Pavel Chesnokov - the Men of the Stairwell Carollers - Youtube

Just listening....
As an alto, it's a special treat to sometimes just sit back and listen. Such is the case with Spaséniye sodélal by Pavel Chesnokov. The Men of The Stairwell Carollers get to sing this Sacred piece from the Romantic period all by themselves :)

Chesnokov was an extremely prolific Imperial Russian and Soviet composer with over 500 choral pieces to his credit. He was also a conductor and teacher and lived from 1877 - 1944.

Audio: Tom Barnes.  Recorded at St. Barnabas Church, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, June 5th, 2015.
Videographer: Richard Auger.
Editing: Pierre Massie
