For the second time, our Dominion Carillonneur, Andrea McCrady, honoured Pete with a carillon program entirely his!
Thanks Andrea! So proud of Pete :)

From 12:00 p.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Andrea McCrady, Dominion Carillonneur
O Canada
Carols by Pierre Massie, arranged for carillon by Andrea McCrady
- Wassail Song
- Ça, bergers, assemblons-nous
- Dans cette étable
- Mourning Dove
- The Stairwell Carol
An excited group of Stairwellers joined us to watch Andrea play the carillon in the tiny performance room.
Hard to believe that instrument controls one of the largest carillons in Canada!
Andrea again played Pierre's Stairwell Carol so beautifully! It's my personal fave!
Here is a video I made of a past carillon performance by Andrea.

Check out this great article by the Toronto star about Andrea and her "high-level" (pun intended) job.
After we exited Parliament, we were thrilled to meet up with another Stairweller, David Rain, who came to listen to the carillon recital al fresco.
A great day!

Awesome, big congrats again for this honour, Pierre!
ReplyDeleteNB: it was fun dodging snow blowers that day as I listened to your pieces on the carillon outside on Parliament Hill . :)
Sorry I forgot to mention you were there! I have updated the post to include you.
